What are your dreams for Israel education in Jewish Cleveland?
COMMUNITY LISTENING FORUM on ZOOM
WEDNESDAY. JANUARY 14, 6-8:30PM
What are your dreams for Israel education, related to the Israeli-Palestinian reality, past, present and future?
What are we doing right in Jewish Cleveland and what is missing?
What do we wish our children and the adults in our community were learning and how do we wish we were learning?
If these questions inspire or provoke you, come to a Community Listening Forum on Zoom on Wednesday evening January 14th 6:00-8:30pm hosted by the Prism Project. Our goal is to co-create a set of “community learning competencies” that will serve as a North Star for educators and others in our community who want our Israel learning program that goes beyond what we currently do.
Who is this for?
Parents, students (of any age!), community members.
(We will schedule a 2nd Listening Forum just for educators and Jewish professionals.)
What if I can’t join but I wish I could?
Fill out the RSVP form, share your opinions and sign up for the Prism mailing list to hear more.
What’s different about this Community Listening Forum?
We guarantee that you will have the conversations that you think are the important ones to have.
We will start to develop a list of “community learning competencies.” For example:
Areas of knowledge what we need to know when it comes to the Israeli-Palestinian reality past, present and future
Skills we think we need to have in order to engage with each other: listening, conversational skills, research skills
Emotional capacities we think we need to cultivate like empathy, emotional resilience to not shut down when confronting difficult truths
Values to guide us
And whatever else matters to you, we want to hear it
What is the Prism Project?
